FAQ
Is Lucky Jim also suitable for dogs with sensitive digestive systems?
Heeeey, of course! That's exactly why I invented my Mono line. Just imagine: only one animal protein source, zero grains, no added sugar – just pure, honest food. Perfect if your dog has an upset stomach or you want to find out together what he really tolerates well.
And the best part? You don't have to decipher complicated ingredient lists. You can see everything at a glance—even a real photo on the packaging. Easy, right?
What are postbiotics and why are they included?
Postbiotics? It sounds complicated at first, but it's actually quite simple.
They occur naturally in the gut when good bacteria digest fiber.
And it's precisely these powerful substances that are really good for the body.
We therefore go one step further:
Our food contains postbiotics, which we add directly so that even more of them reach where they are needed.
The great thing about them is that they are heat-stable and remain effective even in cooked canned food.
They can contribute to vitality and activity, healthy digestion, and a normal immune system.
And, of course, you will find them clearly labeled on our website:
Postbiotics (yeasts, inactivated (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)) –
a cumbersome name for something quite valuable.
A real stroke of luck for your bowl.
Does your food contain added sugar?
Nope! For me, sugar belongs in people's birthday cakes at most, but not in dog bowls. That's why I don't add any sugar. Paw on it!
Why do some classic varieties contain rice?
It's simple: some dogs tolerate rice really well. Rice is easy to digest, provides energy, and is a great basic food ingredient. That's why it's included in a few Classic varieties. But if you prefer completely grain-free food, hello Mono varieties or the Classic varieties without rice above!
Are the ingredients really as shown in the photo?
Yep! No fake pictures, no illustrations—what you see on the package is what you get in the bowl. Honestly, I think that's pretty cool, because I know that you humans can be skeptical. So, take a look and trust it.
How do I determine the correct amount of food?
Don't panic—I've got you covered! Each can has a feeding chart that shows you exactly how much your dog needs. There's even an extra chart for puppies based on target and actual weight, because little ones are still growing. You can find more detailed information here.
Can I also give Lucky Jim snacks to puppies or senior dogs?
Of course! My snacks are like good friends: they adapt. SalaMinies or MeatCubies are also suitable for puppies and senior dogs because they are nice and soft.
For training with young dogs or old hands, there are Gymies or DuoBities – just adjust the size of the pieces. Your dog will love it, I promise!
How should I store Lucky Jim, and how long does it keep after opening?
Quite simply:
- Cans: After opening, put the lid back on, place in the refrigerator, and consume within 2–3 days. It tastes best when fresh—and to be honest, the can is usually empty much sooner anyway.
Snacks: Many of my snacks come in convenient resealable bags. Simply close them tightly and they will stay fresh. For snacks without a closure, transfer them to an airtight container or feed them quickly—which your dog will certainly appreciate.
